In the last month Zachary has learned to stand on his own, point to what he wants, wave hello and goodbye, and throw temper tantrums when he doesn’t get what he wants. He also said his first words! If you can count “uh-oh” and “woof” as first words. He will now point to a dog and say “woof” so I think it counts! He now has 6 teeth and I swear he’s grown an inch.

Halloween 2009

Zachary celebrated his first Halloween this month. He got all dressed up as a dinosaur and went trick-or-treating (to one friend’s house)!

My baby is growing up so fast! Month 10 has brought 3 new teeth. He has one and a half teeth on the top, and two and a half teeth on the bottom. Zach tries walking everywhere now. He has a little red wagon that he loves to push around the basement.

Zach has started waving at everyone and everything. He holds his hand, palm facing out, and just waits for your reaction. He has also started pointing and saying “Da!”. He wants to know what everything is.

We’ve had 3 nights of 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep! Let’s hope that continues!

Fall 2009

Zachary and I travelled to Massachusetts this weekend to experience the autumn festivities. We walked off the plane in Providence and drove straight to Patriot Place, home of the best football team in the country! Zach had a great time checking out the equipment, admiring the trophies, and showing everyone that he can do “Touchdown!”.

Then we took in the Applefest parade and street fair in Northborough, followed by the Davis Farmland petting zoo. We finished up the trip with a visit to the pumpkin patch at Tougas Farm. Zachary was quite perplexed by the pumpkins that appeared to be growing on trees!

We were lucky enough to have perfect New England weather the whole weekend. Can’t wait to go back!

Anne Arundel County Fair

We went to the AA County Fair this morning. Zachary had a blast! We saw goats, chickens, sheep, and cows. We also got to see the very exciting pig races, though sadly our pig came in last.

Zachary met a real life fireman and was able to sit in the fire truck and pose for photos with him. He also had his very first carousel ride which he really seemed to enjoy. It was a very exciting morning which led to a very long nap!
